Veterans Sunday is on Sunday, November 12, during Sunday School, a movie entitled, Metal of Honor: Lessons of Personal Bravery and Self Sacrifice will be shown. All members and friends of the church are invited at 9:30 a.m. to view this movie. A post card is being sent to our members who are veterans or their family members to ask them to attend our Sunday service that day. They will be honored during the service. If you know of a veteran or anyone currently serving who did not receive a post card, kindly call the church office, 941-3529.. A Coffee Hour will be held after the church service i honor and remembrance of all our Veterans!
Turkey Soup Day will be Sunday, November 19th. The Sunday School Children will be cutting up vegetables and baking biscuits in the morning before Worship Service. After Worship Service, we will all go into the Fellowship Hall to enjoy the Turkey Soup and refreshments that are being prepared by so many caring hands! This a great oppurtunity to fellowship with one another as we are so very thankful to have each other. All are invited so please sign-up or contact the church office if you plan on attending. And please remember to bring your own serving ware, Thank-you!!!
November 22 at 7 pm is the Community-wide Thanksgiving Day Service at Churchill Methodist Church
BREAKFAST WITH SANTA AND CRAFT SALE is on Saturday, December 2, 2017, Faith UCC will host the annual Breakfast With Santa from 9 am til 11 am. And the Craft Sale will be from 9 am til 2 pm. Come have a FREE breakfast, see Santa and have your picture taken with him and visit our vendors for some last minute shopping. There will be something for everyone there!
Upcoming Missions & Outreach
OUR NOVEMBER MISSION IS … Our Non-perishable food items for the local food pantries! Donation boxes will be set under the bulletin board shelf. Please won’t you bring in an item or two to help supply those in need locally. Thank you in advance!
Our Grace for the Journey Group - If you are a caregiver for a loved one or have been a caregiver please come and join us. We welcome all who are in need of conversation, or just friendly folks. Our next meeting will be Monday, November 13 at 4:30 p.m. Please don’t hesitate to come and join us! If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact the church office.
Youth Group - The Youth will be having a fundraiser for the month of November which will be announced as soon as we vote on which one that they would like to do. Also, the Youth will be going on their annual trip to Lasertron later in the month. Coming in December the Youth will be having their Bake Sale at the Craft Fair so we will be looking for volunteers who love to bake. Please contact Tim with any questions or comments. Thanks.
At this time of year, we start again collecting cans and bottles to support of Youth Programs. All proceeds go directly toward activities and programs for the youth. Thank you for all the support during the year!
We will continue to collect can tabs (from pop, soda, and other beverages) for Ronald McDonald House. The collection box is located on the shelf next to the office. Thank you to Pegge Cook for helping with the collection and disposition.
Health Care Ministry - Just a reminder to all, whenever we have a Coffee hour following worship on a Sunday morning, we will also have blood pressure checks offered to those who wish to participate. It is held in the Adult Classroom. If the door is closed, please wait outside the room. Thank you!

2017 CROP WALK FOR HUNGER - happened on October 15! We had six people register and walk that day. It was a beautiful fall day – not to warm, not raining, NOT SNOWING!!!! Thank you to Helen Easton (our most senior walker) and neighbor, Mike Partridge, Madison Sheffield and friend, Bruce and Kathy Lounsbury who walked and completed their walk in very good time! We are always thankful for our blessings and this is one way of helping others. Won’t you think about joining us next year!!!! A special thank you to those who donated to our walk!
